Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

Welcome to Flatcha. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Flatcha platform (“Service”), operated by Flatcha, Inc. By creating an account you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use Flatcha

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding lease in the United States. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

2. What Flatcha is — and isn't

Flatcha is a marketplace that helps renters find roommates, form tenant groups, apply to listings, and manage lease documents. Flatcha is not a party to any lease, is not a broker or landlord, and does not guarantee any apartment, roommate match, or application outcome. Documents generated on the platform are provided for convenience and are not legal advice; you should review any lease with qualified counsel.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree not to misrepresent your identity, income, or rental history, not to harass other users, and not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

4. Financial information & screening

Income, employment, and credit information you provide is self-reported and shared with landlords only when you apply. Landlords may run their own independent screening. Flatcha does not verify self-reported figures unless explicitly stated.

5. Fees

Flatcha is free for renters. Landlord and payment-related fees, where applicable, are disclosed before you incur them.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm other users.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flatcha disclaims warranties and is not liable for disputes between tenants and landlords or among roommates.
